The award-winning Belfry Hotel and Resort has chosen LoveBrum as its charity of the year, and will be raising vital funds for the city-based charity throughout the rest of 2020 so it can continue to support the ‘hard-to-reach’ projects that do not receive the platform or funding that they perhaps deserve.

Every year, all employees at The Belfry Hotel and Resort are asked to put forward suggestions for its charity of the year initiative, on both a national and regional level. A shortlist is then created, and employees are then asked to vote for their chosen charity.

For 2020, LoveBrum came out on top and won the final regional vote.

The Birmingham-based luxury hotel and resort will therefore be raising money for LoveBrum via a calendar of events, including a dress-down day for employees and several 10k runs. It has already donated £1,700 after setting up a raffle at the staff Christmas party, and through collecting donations during the latest Christmas Jumper Day.

All funds donated by The Belfry will, in turn, be distributed by LoveBrum straight to the chosen causes in the local area.

James Stewart, Resort Director at The Belfry Hotel and Resort, commented: “I’m really pleased our employees have chosen such an important charity for us to support this year. It’s nice for us to know that the money we donate doesn’t just benefit one charity, but will help many causes in the surrounding area, and LoveBrum understands exactly which causes need this support.”

Paul Mitchell, Executive Director at LoveBrum, said: “Without the funds and encouragement from organisations like the Belfry Hotel and Resort, we wouldn’t be able to donate as much as we can to our nominated charities that need this funding. We’re so pleased the Belfry has chosen LoveBrum as its charity of the year, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.”
