Six-time Major Champion Sir Nick Faldo has been announced as the new host of the Betfred British Masters, which returns to The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield from 29th June – 2nd July 2023.
The Betfred British Masters will take place on The Belfry’s award-winning Brabazon course; recognised as world-class, with a rich golfing history having previously hosted many significant golf events including The Ryder Cup four times – more than any other venue in the world – and 17 European Tour events, producing some of the most dramatic moments in the history of golf.
Sir Nick Faldo, who received his Knighthood in 2009 for his services to golf, has not only played and won at The Belfry in the Ryder Cup on three occasions but has made history with his famous hole-in-one on the 14th in 1993; the achievement is commemorated with a plaque at The Belfry.
Sir Nick Faldo, comments: “It’s a real honour to be given the opportunity to host the Betfred British Masters, particularly at a venue as iconic as The Belfry. It’s a place that is synonymous with British and European golf, and we’ve been treated to some incredible moments there over the years.”
The Betfred British Masters returned to The Belfry in 2021 and 2022, and it has recently been confirmed that the resort will host to the tournament for the next four years.
