At The Belfry Hotel and Resort, we are committed to protecting the environment and are constantly looking for ways to improve our green status. Surrounded by 550 acres of rolling countryside, 700 team members, 300+ bedrooms, four bars and restaurants, and three golf courses, The Belfry is one of the largest hospitality properties within the Midlands. With this we have a responsibility to the local community and our surroundings to ensure we are committed to giving back to, not only residents of the area but the wildlife that have chosen our grounds as their home.
To be an environmentally responsible resort with corporate social responsibility at the heart of what we do across our hotel, events, food & beverage outlets, spa and golf courses.
To continually monitor and revise our policies and procedures across the resort to ensure that environmental best practices are in place with, and for the benefit of, our employees, guests, stakeholders and local surroundings.
To conduct a comprehensive ESG review, establish key areas for improvement and define clear and concise companywide targets.
We are taking steps to place sustainability at the heart of everything we do. From our charity initiatives to our golf course maintenance, we’re striving to make The Belfry a more socially and environmentally responsible place.
EarthCheck has tracked our performance in real time, to indentify any critical issues and create benchmarks across energy use, water use, carbon emissions, chemicals, community and employee impact, paper use and waste.
We're delighted to have been recognised for our efforts and commitment to improving our environment impact and we look forward to taking our green journey even further as we work towards our Gold accreditation.
Through becoming GEO Certified we have achieved the most widely regarded and credible sustainability distinction in golf. We're proud of our social and environmental value - and looking forward to doing even more on our sustainability journey.
