Boutique Hotelier have announced 50 individuals from the owner, operator and management side of the industry who have made their mark.  We are delighted that our Sales Director, Katie Niland, has been listed as one of the hospitality professionals who are inspiring their business to hit new height.

With over 25 years in hotel sales, Katie joined the Belfry in 2014 as Sales Director, since then she has seen great success in leading the commercial strategy of the resort.

Katie repositioned The Belfry as the No.1 venue for Conferences and Events.  She built a high performing sales team and successfully driven all commercial revenue streams.  As a result, The Belfry was awarded England’s Leading Conference Hotel and England’s Best Incentive Hotel 2021.

Katie’s enthusiasm and passion for the industry and her clients has created an engaged and innovative sales team who go above and beyond. They ensure every guest receives a first-class experience which resulted in the team winning the miaList Awards for Best Sales Team.

Katie is an advocate of supporting the industry associations including mia, HBAA, AIEA and is a remarkable ambassador and role model for equality and women in the industry.

Katie ensured The Belfry was in a great position to adapt during the pandemic.  She kept her customers needs front and centre and delivered new revenue streams including Belfry Live, a virtual M&E solution.

Katie is expecting a strong financial performance in 2022.  There is positivity in the industry, confidence from her clients and respect from her team and we are thrilled with this recognition.
