The Belfry Hotel & Resort, located in Warwickshire, has today announced its official national charity partnership with the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) which will see The Belfry undertaking a number of fundraising challenges and events throughout 2023.

As part of the partnership, The Belfry is helping to raise awareness and funds in support for the #4Ed campaign for Gloucester Rugby player, Ed Slater. Last year, Ed Slater, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and the #4Ed campaign is an initiative that has been set up to encourage people to fundraise for Ed’s family and the Gloucester Rugby Foundation.

Every year, The Belfry commits to supporting at least three charities, including a national, regional and hospitality charity. Therefore, in 2023, The Belfry will also be raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust; which has a large presence in the Midlands and Hospitality Action, which offers support and assistance to all those who have work or have worked in UK hospitality. The Belfry has supported Hospitality Action for several years and in 2023, will be taking part in the Hospitality Action Summer Challenge to raise £150,000 in just 11 days.

Chris Eigelaar, Resort Director at The Belfry, says: “Every year we’re proud to support causes close to our employees’ hearts. At The Belfry we all know just how important it is to support the important work of charities that have a nation-wide, and in some cases worldwide impact, but also to those which directly impact our local community. It’s fantastic to see each and every employee get involved throughout the year. Whether they’re hosting a charity gala dinner, cycling miles across the country or competing in a golf tournament, there’s always something to take part in. It’s great to see the team spirit of our employees coming together to help improve the lives of others.”
